When things take a downturn, do you find comfort in song? It may seem odd to ask, but do you sing, scream, or yell when life throws a curveball your way? After a breakup, do you find yourself turning to a sad love song to ease the pain? I have.
My grandparent's almost died years ago but because of singing hymns at a life threatening time, they were protected by the Lord. This week’s devotion focuses on how to praise God when things just aren't going well. Join me!

[22] A mob quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and the city officials ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden rods. [23] They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn't escape. [24] So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks. [25] Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. …
